This view is looking south along the sea cliff on the southwestern tip of the Point Reyes Peninsula at Agate Beach County Park. The wave cut platform called the Duxbury Reef (carved into Santa Cruz Mudstone), here exposed at low tide, is the site of many shipwrecks. The coast of Marin County in the vicinity of Muir Wood National Monument to the Marin Headlands of Golden Gate National Recreation Area is on the distant horizon. |
