The north-south alignment of the strike of the beds is highlighted on the wave-cut bench (with tide pools) shown here at low tide. This view also shows the flat marine terrace surface. The tip of Point Reyes peninsula where the Point Reyes Lighthouse is located is barely visible in the distant horizon.
