This view is looking west from the Supreme View Overlook near the park visitor center near the south entrance to the park. Sedimentary rocks of Early Tertiary age crop out in the Cedar Breaks. The Red Member and White Member of the Eocene-age Claron Formation make up the upper part of the Cedar Breaks (see Hatfield and others, 2000; McDonald, 1972).
