Capitol Reef National Park
Afternoon sunlight bathes the Golden Throne in Capitol Wash. Shrub junipers are in the foreground. The upper Chinle Formation and Wingate Sandstone form the dipping rock ridge on the low bluff on the right. The dome-like light-colored sandstone buttes along the sunlit skyline consist of Navajo Sandstone. Golden Throne is the butte on the upper right.
