Big Bend National Park
Tuff Canyon along Blue Creek exposes massive layers of volcanic ash deposits of the Wasp Spring Member of the Delaho Formation (of lower Miocene age, about 23 million years)(Barker and others, 1986). This view is from the Tuff Canyon Overlook near Castolon along the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive in western Big Bend National Park.
