Geologic Map of Lake Mead National Recreation Area
This generalized regional geologic map of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area was compiled from the state geologic maps for Nevada and Arizona (see Arizona Geological Survey, 2000; Crafford, 2007). The seven rock-unit colors represent general subdivisions based on geologic origin and geologic age. For a detailed geologic map of the northern part of this map area, see Beard and others (2007).
