This view is looking down at the Powerhouse (generator facility) at the base of Hoover Dam. The Powerhouse facility covers about 10 acres, has 17 generators, and produces over 4 billion kilowatt hours per year. Power distribution statistics are roughly 56% to California, 25% to Nevada, and 19% to Arizona (U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, 2008).
