| Thousand Palm Canyon is a main drainage that cuts through the Indio Hills in the vicinity of the Thousand Palms Oasis (Paul Wilhelm Grove). Indio wash and other streams in the area show recent displacement by both the Mission Creek Branch and Banning Faults, both part of the San Andreas Fault system. |
