View toward San Gorgonio Pass
This west-facing view from Keys Point is looking toward San Gorgonio Pass (Mt. San Jacinto is on the left). San Gorgonio Pass (summit 2,600 feet) is the location of an extensive wind-power generation facility. The hillsides in the foreground consist of high-grade metamorphic rocks (migmatite) that crops out throughout much of the western Little San Bernardino Mountains (Wooden and others, 2001).
