San Gorgonio Pass (summit 2,600 feet) is the location of an extensive wind-power generation facility. The hillsides in the foreground consist of high-grade metamorphic rocks (migmatite) that crops out throughout much of the western Little San Bernardino Mountains (Wooden and others, 2001). |
