Great Basin National Park
Lehman Caves is one of the highest "show caves" in the world. Show cave means that trails and lighting were added to make the trails accessible to public tours. The caverns are at nearly 7,000 feet elevation. The entrance and exit to the cave have been modified to give visitors easy access to the cave, yet are also designed with double sets of doors to reduce airflow into the cavern from artificial sources. Although Lehman Caves are not large (relative to Mammoth Cave or Carlsbad Caverns), They are highly decorated with an abundance of travertine speleothem formations that make it one of the most colorful and attractive public caves in the western United States.
