Not designated. Named for a bench called White Rim, between the Green and Colorado Rivers, San Juan Co., UT (Baker and Reeside, 1929).
First used as upper member of Cutler Formation (Baker and Reeside, 1929). Revised, assigned as upper formation of Cutler Group; Overview (Baars, 1962). Upper contact revised (Blakey, 1974). Overview (Steele, 1987).
