Named a member of McElmo Formation (Lupton, 1914). Revised, assigned as basal member of the Morrison Formation; Overview; Areal limits (Gilluly and Reeside, 1928). Isotopic dating (Marvin, Dobson, 1979). Lower contact revised (O'Sullivan, 1984). Isotopic dating (Kowallis and Heaton, 1987). Lower contact revised (Condon and Huffman, 1988; Peterson, 1988; O'Sullivan, 1992). Areal limits (Condon, 1992).
