Unit Name History:
Named as lower member of Moenkopi Formation, replacing name "lower slope-forming member" in southeast UT (Blakey, 1974). Revised (Welsh and others, 1979). Revised, lower part interfingers with and is age-equivalent to Hoskinnini Member of Moenkopi.
