Capitol Reef National Park
This view of the massive Mancos Shale badlands is located just south and east of the intersection of the Notom- Bullfrog Road and the Burr Trail. The gray slope is the Blue Gate Shale Member, and the caprock on the ridge is the Emery Sandstone Member; both are members of the Mancos Shale.
