| Private Arch is along the backcountry primitive trail in the Devils Garden area. All the arches in the park are true natural "arches" (formed by exfoliation and weathering processes that carve holes in rock fins) instead of "natural bridges" (which form by meandering stream erosion) (see Wilbur, 2007). Natural Bridges National Monument in southern Utah has the second variety. |
