View of the forested Ohio River Valley, Ohio River, and hills of northern Kentucky

Gaps in the forest cover on the hilltop at Shawnee Lookout Park provide scenic view of the river floodplains. This view shows the Indiana & Ohio Rail Systems train trestle crossing the Great Miami River near the confluence with the Ohio River (the river is hidden in the forest on the floodplain). In the distance, the Interstate 275 Bridge crosses the Ohio River between Indiana into Kentucky.

A park display sign states: "The last Indians to enjoy this panoramic view from ‘the point’ were the historic Shawnees: hence the Shawnee Lookout Park."
