Natural Bridges National Monument
This pool (or tinaja or waterpocket) at the base of a falls in Armstrong Canyon may have been an attraction for the ancient American Indians that utilized and inhabited the region in prehistoric times. The deep pool of water at the base of the falls was a perennial water source to support life and farming in this otherwise typically dry and harsh climate. This waterpocket is a short distance upstream from Kachina Arch.
