This view looking downstream along Gypsum Wash shows the typical appearance of
a seasonally active desert wash-having a broad, active floodplain with multiple bifurcating channels and rills formed by episodic sediment-laden flood waters. Gypsum Wash is located near milepost 2 on the Northshore Road. This shows the River Mountains on the west side of Lake Mead National Recreation Area in the distance. |
