Point Bonita - Looking from the road down to a tiny, unnamed cove within the larger Bonita Cove. The small concrete box is a historic army beacon station. The rocks are part of the Franciscan melange (broken formation). The rocks in this area include a mix of late Mesozoic metabasalts, sandstone, mudrocks, and conglomerates (Elder, 2001; NPS, [2010]).
