This view shows the sedimentary layers exposed in a great monoclinal fold visible from the Echo Park Overlook near the northern end of the Harpers Corner Self-guiding Scenic Drive. Echo Park is the name of the lowland near the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers which is located near Steamboat Rock-the barren white butte along the river valley in the upper right corner of this image (Anonymous, [2010]). |
