Saratoga Springs
Saratoga Springs is a perennial water source in southern Death Valley in the Amargosa River valley near Ibex Dunes. This small pond is supplied by a groundwater. Water is derived from the greater Amargosa River groundwater recharge basin that encompasses a large region of parts of southern Nevada and California. Saratoga Spring is home to a species of desert pupfish (Cyprinodon nevadensis), one of four varieties of pupfish native to the Death Valley area (NPS, [2010c].
