Marble Canyon
Marble Canyon contains a series of short, but deep, narrow gorges that cuts through sedimentary rock formations of Devonian and Mississippian age in the Cottonwood Mountains (Streitz and Stinson, 1974). Marble Canyon is a side canyon of the larger Cottonwood Creek drainage. The rock exposed in the cliffs are dense limestone, dolomite, and marble.
