| This view is of one of the small alcoves along side of the Big Room in Carlsbad Caverns. The images on this website were taken with a hand-held pair of digital cameras, most were taken by holding the cameras as still as possible against the hand railing along the pathways. Most the images were taken using the artificial lighting that the National Park Service installed in the public portions of the cavern. This image, however, used the two camera's xenon flashes. Many of the passages are too large for flash photography. |
