A recent rock fall is revealed by the light-colored appearance of an escarpment surface and talus blocks of the Santa Elena Limestone (Maxwell, 1968). The Rock fall is along the west-facing ridge of the southern Santiago Mountains and located is between Persimmon Gap and Dog Canyon. This view is from along the trail to Dog Canyon. |
