Afternoon shadows bath the eroding igneous stocks and intrusions of the Triangulation Station Mountain area in southern Big Bend National Park. Texas bluebonnets, or Texas lupine (Lupinus texensis) grows in abundance in washes and especially in disturbed ground along the sides of the roads throughout the park (Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, [2010]). |
