Big Bend National Park
This view shows the riparian shrub forest (mostly tamarisk or salt cedar), barren mud flats, and a channel gravel bar along the Rio Grande. The Sierra De Santa Elena is in the distance. This view is from a stream terrace near the Cottonwood Campground in western Big Bend National Park.
