Petroglyphs near Tule Lake
Petroglyphs along the ancient shoreline of dry Tule Lake. The variety and abundance of motifs suggest a long duration of origin. The petroglyphs are obiviously younger than the high-standing lake levels of the last ice age, but the presence of horse-like figures suggest a young age as well (NPS, 2007; Swartz, 1978).
