Hermit Shale (red slope) and cliff in distance include Coconino Sandstone (massive sandstone beds), Toroweap Formation (layered beds exposed in lower small canyon above dry waterfall), and Kaibab Formation (white-gray layered beds on slope and cliffs at the top of canyon.
