| Racetrack Playa is located in a high valley in the Cottonwood Mountains of the Panamint Range. The playa is in one of the most remote regions of the park accessible only by the rugged, typically washboard-ridden unpaved Racetrack Road and two other longer 4-wheel drive roads over Hunter Mountain or through Saline Valley.
