Mesquite Flat
Pliocene-age basin-fill sediments (about 3 million years) erode into badlands along Highway 267 north of Beatty Junction (Workman and others, 2002a). Corkscrew Peak (elevation 5,804 feet) in the Grapevine Mountains is in the distance.
